Flier of the week: New Ancient Astronauts at Moe’s

There’s no question my love of horror movies influenced my affection for this week’s top flier, but even non-fans have got to appreciate the New Ancient Astronauts’ cheeky take on this iconic image. At first glance it might look like they simply copied the original poster image, but a closer look will reveal some amusing details, like the blood-soaked microphone in place of a knife and the careful insertion of a ’50s-style UFO into the killer’s silhouette. Personally, if I wasn’t already charmed by the NAA’s Chrome-influenced space rock, this eye-catching poster would convince me to check out this Friday, March 13, show at Moe’s. Let’s hope it does the same for other potential fans.
