The 4 U 2 Place in the King Soopers complex at 1331 Speer Boulevard is hosting a Poetry Art Party tonight celebrating the work of three esoteric artists: Brian Curran, Hektor Munoz and John Watts, all members of the Denver Art Society.

The festivities will start at 6 p.m. with traditional rice and beans made by the artists. The evening will also include a poetry performance by Munoz and St. Louis poet Chris Hanch.

Patricia Calhoun is editor-in-chief of Westword, the alt-weekly she co-founded in September 1977. She’s been inducted into the Colorado Press Association Hall of Fame, the Association of Alternative Newsmedia Hall of Fame and the Colorado Restaurant Association Hall of Fame.
