Renegade producer FreQ Nasty is now on the Monsters of Bass tour with MartyParty (one half of PantyRaid) and Opiou; they’ll stop at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Wednesday, March 2. To help get you in the mood for the bass, we’ve got two downloads for you today: FreQ Nasty’s “Dread At the Controls” and MartyParty’s remix of a Sex Pistols classic, “Purple SexPistol (Anarchy in the UK Remix).”
FreQ Nasty is more overt than most dubstep producers with his use of reggae influences to create this track; that, and the eerie robot noises, should appeal to fans of the genre.
MartyParty’s take on the Sex Pistols is much more upbeat than the original, but still maintains the punk-rock sense of grit and rebellion.
