Suddenly, there’s lots of action on South University. The owners of the Breakers Café, in that big apartment complex in Cherry Creek, have sealed a deal to acquire the Border, the longtime University of Denver hangout at 2014 South University Boulevard that closed for good in November, after acquiring a liquor license violation.

And across the street at 2017 South University, which was the Aroma Cafe for six short months (and before that, Pita Jungle), Crimson & Gold has applied for a cabaret liquor license.
