During this weekend’s “A Taste of Art” festival, Boulder will explore the intersection of art and food with chef competitions, a food photography exhibit, food-themed films, workshops, performances, exhibits, demonstrations, tastings and more. The festival gets cooking tonight with “Artful Hors d’oeuvre” at the Dairy Center for the Arts.

From 6 to 8 p.m. in the MacMillan Family Lobby at The Dairy, four of Boulder’s top chefs — Kelly Whittaker, chef/owner of Basta; Arik Markus, chef at Zeal; Matt Collier, head chef at The Kitchen; and Chris Canales, head chef at Volta — will provide artfully prepared appetizers.
