At the beginning of the year, the Denver Tea Room closed its doors in the Victorian house at 1820 East Colfax where it had poured for years, in preparation for a move to South Broadway. Now, after months of work, the new spot is ready to make its debut today after a soft opening on Mother’s Day. Located in the corner of a modern building, the new tea room’s exterior looks far from Victorian — but the interior is as charming as ever, and the high tea justifies its 2011 Best of Denver award. This new space features two private rooms, as well as a lunch menu.
