Aviano Coffee is making a move to open a new shop in a former Peaberry Coffee location. Aviano’s, previously located at 955 Lincoln Street in the embattled Beauvallon, closed in April, but a sign on the front door promises that it’ll reopen “in the next couple/few weeks” at Second and St. Paul in Cherry Creek. While its old phone number is disconnected and e-mails to owner Doug Naiman have bounced back, signs of life are evident at the 3031 East Second Avenue space.

A sign bearing the coffee shop’s iconic visage and “Now Hiring” signs are up on top of the papered windows, alongside a “Do Not Disturb” sign.

The Denver-based Peaberry Coffee chain closed many of its locations, including the Cherry Creek address, last fall.
