A week ago today, we shared mixed messages about Brandon Marshall coming from Jay Cutler’s Twitter feed. Now, however, it appears that Cutler may not have been the person doing the tweeting. The account in question has now been suspended due to what’s described as “strange activity” — which probably means someone was masquerading as the Bronco turned Chicago Bear. This phenomenon is becoming all too common; St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa recently settled a lawsuit over just such an impersonation. To that end, Twitter has created “verified accounts” to make it harder for folks to pretend to be someone they’re not. Like, for instance, Sweet Baby Jay….
