During March and April of last year, we told you about a new Denver Police Department program to share information about sexually violent predators on YouTube

Since then, the DPD has continued to post new videos about offenders known as SVPs, under the theory that more people can be reached using the service than turned up for public meetings – the old-school method of informing community members about their new neighbors.

In recent months, there’s also been another innovation: The department is posting updated videos when an SVP moves to a new location.

Among the neighborhoods featured in the most recent series of clips: Five Points, Capitol Hill, Clayton, East Colfax, Montbello and Westwood.
