Reader: 90 Percent of Modern Houses in Denver Stick Out Like a Sore Thumb

Our post previewing this past week’s Denver Modern Home Tour asked readers if they loved or loathed the sort of new designs popping up in so many parts of the Mile High City these days.

Most of those who responded weren’t fans.

But while some despised the looks of these contemporary structures in and of themselves, others were more troubled by their juxtaposition with more traditional homes.

The following take is a case in point.

90 percent of modern houses in Denver stick out like a sore thumb, sandwiched between historic houses, in otherwise beautiful neighborhoods. I feel sorry for the neighbors that have to look at these ugly structures daily.
