Leah Hardy: Specimina Hinterland Art Space October 10 through November 7 Opening reception: 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, October 10 Closing reception: 6 to 10 p.m. Friday November 7
Wyoming artist Leah Hardy’s small, cast-bronze works focus on personal talismans. In this series, she introduces insect forms that are altered with mechanical trappings. They are not whimsical, but they are beautiful in a way that conjures characters from a China Miéville novel. Visit Hinterland Tuesdays through Saturdays or by appointment, or see the show at the opening and closing receptions.

Evan Hecox’s first solo at Super Ordinary explores urban adventures through road-trip photos and starkly graphic drawings that capture city moments in a haze of memory.
