A local legend-in-the-making will meet his hero in the ring tonight when Primos Hardcore and Wrestling presents Twist of Hate, a match between WWE superstar Matt Hardy and up-and-comer Rob Ryzin. In one of the biggest events to date for Primos, the two will face off in a contest that includes the death-defying Ladder Match — a stunt not suitable for those with a fear of heights.
“It’s a really cool coming-of-age story: Rob Ryzin is in his prime and now he gets a chance to wrestle a legend, his hero, Matt Hardy,” says Joe “Joey Terrofyn” McDougal, founder, owner and wrestler for Primos. Known best for his WWE run as one half of the Hardy Boyz (along with real-life brother Jeff Hardy), Matt Hardy will be coming to Colorado on his own for the first time for this match. The night also includes Total Nonstop Action Wrestling star Reby Sky facing off against Denver’s own Cemetery Baby in a women’s match-up, and reigning Primos champ Chris Wrath will go toe-to-toe with Aaron Alexander.
Twist of Hate will go down at the Church Ranch Event Center, 10200 Wadsworth Boulevard in Westminster; tickets are $15 general admission, $25 VIP, which includes a pre-show meet-and-greet with Matt Hardy; doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7. As with all Primos events, children are welcome, but parental accompaniment for younger viewers is advised. For tickets and more information, visit primoswrestling.com.
