Last night’s On Being a Woman, a conglomeration of dozens of artists and performers of both sexes celebrating the female identity, was by all means a success. Spread throughout the maze of hallways and studio space at Wazee Union, Designer Baily Rose and community organizer and 2011 MasterMind Award Winner Sarah Slater put together an incredible show. Between musical performances by Sara Century, Cougar Pants and more, living works of art wandered the halls — artist Julia Rada sat in a pool of water for hours and Lauren Zwicky did a live video chat with her sister, Morgan Zwicky, in Arizona. We caught some of the pieces and people who made On Being a Woman happen.
