Michael Atkinson’s thoughtful review of In Darkness brought up tough, but important, memories.

Says LRHartman:

We saw “In Darkness” in Telluride last Labor Day weekend. It’s a spell-binding tale, beautifully shot and directed, a must-see. Mr. Atkinson, my paternal grandfather and one brother were the only members of their family to survive the Holocaust. Eight years ago, I learned that my great-aunt, uncles and cousins were marched to a forest near their home where they were forced to dig a mass grave and then shot to death. I will never forget.
