What is Smash Putt? Oh lord, what is it not? To begin with, it’s a wicked art installation: a gigantic pinball machine, a Rube Goldberg-esque robotic creation on a major scale, Mad Max at the Putt Putt, with cocktail swilling included in the fun. And lucky you: Smash Putt!, a 21+ phenomenon from the great Northwest, will drop balls and buzz and ping and glow (and turn the tables on your opponent should you choose, to boot), is turning a building at 2762 Walnut Street (aka the Vintage Moto Museum) into, well, into something you can only experience to truly believe. But there’s a catch: It’s only here for six weekends of self-proclaimed “mechanized madness,” beginning on New Year’s Eve.
