Some people just stand out. Whether their style is cutting-edge, quirky or just well-executed, they make you want to know: How do they do it? Because we work for you, we’re finding out. Each day, we’ll hit the streets and talk to one person who catches our eye and makes us look twice. Today, we caught up with Chris Ewing where he works at Metropolis Coffee, and chatted with him about his honky-tonk hipster chic. Get his story after the jump.

Name: Chris Ewing Occupation: Barista

Westword: Where do you get your fashion inspiration? Chris Ewing: I don’t know. I’ve always worn cowboy boots, because I used to work at this store in Englewood where we sold old cameras, and that’s just kind of what you did. The vest, this is actually the first time I’ve worn it. I picked it up at Fancy Tiger.

WW: Where else do you like to shop? CE: There’s this one place I like to go for jeans on 38th and Lowell, kind of a used Levi’s thing. It’s pretty nice.

WW: What’s your favorite article of clothing you own? CE: I have this French suit coat. It fits a little small, but I’ve had it for about five years. It’s kind of a darker gray color, and it goes with anything.
