The buy-local, DIY holiday craft market season is on: Get your foot in the door this weekend when the Sugar Plum Bazaar, featuring about forty spot-on, homegrown vendors, opens for business from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the elegant Parkside Mansion. There’s gonna be a lot to look at, but a sneak peek follows, to get you on your way: For the guys, Sugar Plum shoppers might like these clever, locally made glass-bottle glasses. An adorable bag from Blue Dye looks good on — or under — the tree. Aprons are hot! Here’s one from Dizzie Izzie. Dress up your shoes with a pair of Fern & Sprout felted flower shoe clips. Steampunk jewelry by the Gold Bug. Pin on a sweet vintage button from Isa Creations. One of Lizzie Kienast’s glowing paintings will brighten up anyone’s day. Twirl Girl goes punk-chic. The trouble with these repurposed bracelets by Vintage Chic is that you can’t pick just one.
