“We decided that since none of the cool vendors ever participate in cheesy bridal expos, we would just put all of the cool kids together in one room,” says Tom Wright, whose company, Lovesick Inc., is behind today’s Lovesick: Denver 2014. A traveling collaboration with the world’s largest alternative wedding blog, Offbeat Bride, the non-traditional bridal bazaar brings Denver’s most creative planners, photographers, stylists, caterers and entertainment providers together under one roof.

Looking to plan a reception like none other? The Lovesick expo will have burlesque dancers and circus performers putting on a show that brides- and grooms-to-be can hire for their own matrimonial celebration. The whole purpose of the afternoon is to take the pressure off planning and invite all couples to share in the makings of more than just a typical stuffy wedding.

Lovesick goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mile High Station, 2027 Old West Colfax Avenue. Tickets are $10 to $15; for tickets, information and a full list of Denver vendors, visit lovesickexpo.com.

Sun., Feb. 23, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., 2014
