Announcement! We have a winner of our Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs/Bull & Bush contest

Steve’s Snappin’ Dogs marks its six-year anniversary this month, but the festivities begin today, and while you can gorge on Twinkies and cupcakes for free as part of the celebrations, we’re also giving away a pair of gift certificates: one to Steve’s and a second to the Bull & Bush, which partnered with the hot dog joint to create a Steve’s amber ale, made with a secret ingredient — namely a pepper.

Question is, what’s the pepper?

Several of you chimed in with all sorts of peppers and chiles that made us reach for our capsicum compendiums, the the answer is really simple: It’s the cherry pepper, which a few of you answered correctly.

But the person who nailed it first is 5280MAN, who wins a $25 gift certificate to Steve’s, as well as a $25 gift certificate to Bull & Bush.
