Guess where I’m eating Ethiopian kitfo?

Most of the Ethiopian joints in Denver won’t win any design awards for their muted aesthetics, but this Ethiopian restaurant, despite its pedestrian outside appearance, boasts a lovely dining room, and as far as I know, it’s the only place in Denver that serves gurage kitfo, a southern Ethiopian dish of minced raw meat rich with clarified butter and aromatic with a chile-intensive spice blend called mitmita, the mound of which is paired with stewed collard greens and ayib, a mild, fresh, soft cheese that counteracts the fire of the mitmita. Heavenly.
