Lucy, the restaurant above Comedy Works South, has gone through several incarnations since the second it opened in the Landmark complex in late 2008: soul food, picnic food, party food.

Starting today, though, Lucy has a new identity: It’s now setting itself up as a go-to breakfast and lunch spot, open seven days a week — from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. (Dinner is still served from 5 p.m. until close Wednesday through Saturday.)

Patricia Calhoun is editor-in-chief of Westword, the alt-weekly she co-founded in September 1977.
