The Organic Pizza Company outpost at 891 14th Street in the Spire has expanded from a take-and-bake pizza joint to a “full-service pizzeria,” and will host a grand reopening event Thursday, April 19.
The expansion includes more seating, a flat-screen TV, a new menu and, most important, a liquor license that allows it to serve beer, wine and margaritas.
The new menu features breadsticks, calzones and build-your-own pies, all of which are certified organic and made from as many locally-sourced ingredients as possible. One such ingredient is the spent grain from Great Divide Brewing‘s brewhouse — Organic Pizza Co. uses it for its dough.
Speaking of dough, Organic Pizza has also partnered with Metro CareRing, a Denver-based nonprofit that focuses on hunger relief, and is donating 10 percent of the price of the “featured pizza for charity” to the organization.
