Denver loves bacon. And tomorrow morning, when thousands of hungover hipsters sit down to brunch, they’ll be getting their bacon fix with eggs, in Bloody Marys, even on doughnuts, as Lauren Monitz reported in her list of Seven Dishes That Prove Bacon is Alive and Well — and Totally American. But some readers didn’t approve of her meaty menu. Says Emily: 

It is not actually “bacon.” It is pig. It is a once living, sentient being. Try coconut bacon. It’s much healthier.
