There have been rumors for years that Lechuga’s, one of the last old-time Italian joints in LoHi — once known as “the North Side” — is for sale. But now the property is officially listed — with a hefty $3 million price tag.
The asking price may be outrageous. But there are also howls of outrage at the thought of losing another Italian institution. Says Denver Dave:
The “gentrification” of this neighborhood is making me very sad. We are really losing so many iconic Denver businesses. NW Denver without Lechuga’s cannolis and little devils – it really is a crime.
