Apparently, even the airlines want in on the exploding street-food scene.
A few weeks ago, we reported that Dave Bravdica of Brava! Pizzeria had wrangled a deal with Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret that allowed him to offer alcohol, since the cabaret’s liquor license covered the patio at the base of the tower on 16th and Arapahoe streets.
And now an outdoor lounge by Southwest Airlines, called the Southwest Porch at Skyline Park, is taking shape.
The airline has helped build a permanent outdoor space, with a canopy for cover, that will be open year-round, serving up Brava’s pizzas and drinks from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

That lounge officially opens today. Southwest is celebrating by giving away prizes (read: round-trip tickets) all day long.
