For those of you wondering where to grab some grub around 44th and Tejon, you’re in luck. Open less than a month, Cielito Lindo, a stucco storefront at 4401 Tejon Street, is pushing Mexican eats and treats from its polished quarters tricked out with bare woods and bright tile. It looks like a joint with potential, and the menu — enchiladas en chile pasilla, birria de res, ceviche tostadas, discada tacos, shrimp cocktail and tortas mounted with chorizo and salchicha — goes down easy. Unfortunately, the absence of cerveza doesn’t: You’ll have to settle for bottled Mexican Coke (not a bad thing) and aguas frescas instead.
