‘Tis the season to eat, dink, make merry and give generously, and tonight, at Steuben’s, you have the opportunity to kill four turtle doves with one toy.
Every year, the Steuben’s clan, along with several of the city’s top bartenders, hosts one of the best fundraisers of the season: the Steuben’s Toy Drive, and in return for bringing an unwrapped new toy, those bartenders will reward your altruism with some killer hand-crafted cocktails. Additional cocktails are only $5 each, and all proceeds will go toward Denver Community Ventures, a local non-profit that helps to build sustainable housing communities. “It’s the holidays. You’re supposed to be out partying on weeknights, and it’s for the kids,” says Josh Wolkon, the owner of Steuben’s (and Vesta Dipping Grill), who also encourages revelers to wardrobe themselves in 80s or Back to the Future dress, since that’s tonight’s theme.
Tonight’s party, which will also strut the Magic Cyclops spinning tunes, starts at 9 p.m. and continues to 1 a.m., with the following big-name Denver and Boulder bartenders and mixologists pouring cocktails:
Eric Dutton, Vesta Dipping Grill Mark Stoddard, The Bitter Bar Adam Hodak, Green Russell Leigh Jones, Jonsey’s Eat Bar Dan Fitzgerald, City O’ City Carrie Scroggins, Linger Ken Kodys, Root Down Abbra Sharp, D Bar Desserts Alec Ropes, The Oven Brian Melton Noah Heaney, Jax Fish House and Big Red F
