We remember when LoDo’s restaurant scene was a vast wasteland beyond the Wazee Supper Club — and the area wasn’t even known as LoDo. But those days are long behind us, as evidenced by LoDo Bites, the second annual “sip, sample, stroll” event, which will send diners out into the streets of lower downtown for an orgy of eating from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight.
Restaurants/venues serving up bites include Big Game, Bistro Vendome, Chophouse, Celtic Tavern, Common Grounds, Dixons, Fadó, Gumbo’s, The Keg, Lime, Mangiamo Pronto!, McCormick’s Fish House, Organixx, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Tavern Downtown, Vesta Dipping Grill, the Wine Loft, Wynkoop Brewing Company and, yes, the Wazee.
Tickets to LoDo Bites are $25 for LoDo District members, $30 in advance for the general public and $35 at the door — but fair warning: Last year, LoDo Bites sold out.
For more info on LoDo Bites or to buy tickets, go to the LoDo District’s website.
