Sketch Wine Bar, 11 West First Avenue, lives up to its name when it hosts an art-show opening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight.

The artist? Sam Morreale, father of Sketch owner Jesse Morreale, who took up painting again after a ten-year break — and a diagnosis of Myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disorder. Despite his health issues, over the past three months Sam Morreale has created twenty new, abstract expressionist paintings, many of which will go on display at Sketch today.
