The highly touted butcher, deli and upscale market from the southern suburbs is roughly two weeks away from finally opening in the 900 block of Broadway. The dark-red and white striped awnings went up this morning, and a couple of trees were planted near the planned patio. The windows are in and the liquor license has been approved.
With bated breath, we’ve been watching every agonizing detail of the renovations to the building across the street from Westword because Tony’s also plans to open a bistro with beer and wine service — just in time for summer.
