The Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is flirting with Denver again — two years after Guy Fieri broke our hearts by skipping the Mile High City.
This week, Westword got a call from show producer Page Productions, asking for places the reality food star/celebrity chef should visit between Boulder and Colorado Springs — if, and that’s a big IF, the show stops in town.
Page wanted places that fit these criteria: independently owned; not part of local or national chain; open at least a year; relatively cheap (no entrees over $15); and doing a lot of good work in the kitchen, whether it’s making their own sauce or roasting their own beef.
Two years ago, we gave them a good list, which you can see here, and this time, we added Phil’s Place and the Edgewater Inn.
