MindGOflip

, Thursday, April 12, at Trilogy,

probably could not have found a more appropriate name for its second CD: bounce bounce sound, which celebrates its release at this Boulder show, is a digital document of the band’s boisterous, bop-along pop music. In two years, MindGOflip has found an audience that likes their live music peppered with a hearty dose of humor and spontaneity: How many other guitarists in town are likely to break into a full-fledged tap dance in the middle of a song, as MindGOflip’s Luke Johnson is known to do? Clever as they may be, this Denver-based foursome puts primary emphasis on its sound. A little bit funky — with a thumping bass and trombones thrown in for good measure — it’s music for getting down without giving up your mind.
