Local singer-songwriter and one-time Mousketeer Matt Morris is playing a benefit show this Sunday, March 29, at the Hard Rock Cafe with none other than the Bacon Brothers (i.e. Kevin freaking Bacon and his brother, who is apparently an accomplished musician — who knew?). Apart from making for some pretty sweet shortcuts in Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, it should be a pretty solid show: Morris is an accomplished artist with a soulful voice and some solid songs (check out a Westword profile of Morris here), who’s worked with Christina Aquilera and Justin Timberlake. And as a benefit show, some of your hard-earned $25 admission fee will go to a good cause — Musicians on Call, a group that brings bedside music to sick people. Still on the fence? Check out Matt Morris on MySpace or the Bacon Brothers on their site to help you decide.
