Michael Franti, Santana, Blonde Redhead top sellers at local stores

Michael Franti & Spearhead‘s The Sound of Sunshine , released last week on Capitol, grabbed the top spot at Albums on the Hill and checked in at number three at Twist & Shout for the week ending September 26.

Santana‘s new Arista release, Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time, meanwhile, which includes guest vocals from Chris Cornell, Scott Weiland, Gavin Rossdale, Nas and more, debuted on the top of Twist & Shout’s top-sellers charts.

Finally, Blonde Redhead‘s latest effort, Penny Sparkle, came in first at Wax Trax, followed by the Swans’ latest, My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky, released last week on Young God, which claimed the second spot. See the full breakdown after the jump.
