Miley Cyrus’s opinion aside, is there anything more wholesome than Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers — the Disney Channel success story turned legit boy band — and Quaker Oats? We think not. And now, Nick Jonas has scheduled a trip to Denver to find a childhood superstar for his new competition, the Quaker Chewy Superstar Search.

The competition is seeking out kids between the ages of eight and fourteen with serious singing ability; the winner of the search will win a recording contract with the Jonas Group, and Nick Jonas will produce the winner’s first single, plus face (and song) time in an online music video with Nick himself and $5,000 in cash. (Close the windows; we can hear your pre-teens squealing from here.) Proceeds will benefit Little Kids Rock, which promotes music education in public schools.

The tour — and maybe Nick Jonas himself — will be in Denver July 26 through 28 at the Cherry Creek Mall and a to-be-announced Sam’s Club. Get more information at www.chewysuperstar.com.
