Look closely at the text of this scan from 1 Mag Denver to see a reference to “Sacks Fifth Avenue.”

A new fashion-centric glossy recently delivered to upscale zip codes in the Denver area, 1 Mag Denver touts itself as “a world-class, high-end, out-of-the-ordinary magazine that strives to bring you a world of information among its beautifully designed pages.” Don’t know how proof-reading fits into that equation, but in the image above, and throughout the first issue, Saks Fifth Avenue is referred to as “Sacks Fifth Avenue.” As in Sacks of shit-I-bet-they-wish-they’d caught-that-before-it-went-to-press. — Michael Roberts

Michael Roberts began his career with Westword in 1990 as music editor. In 1999, he took on a new role, full-time media reporter, as author of a column called The Message.
