So you thought last night’s vote of the Golden City Council not to allow religious symbols on city property this year was the only local event likely to attract notice from culture warriors nationwide? Ha. As of this writing, CNN.com features a prominent link to a Channel 7 story from Thursday about atheism-touting billboards set to go up in Denver and Colorado Springs just in time for the holidays. Get ready for more segments of The O’Reilly Factor built on heated rhetoric about our fair state. To coin a phrase: Jesus Christ! — Michael Roberts
