It’s February 29 – a day we only get to experience once every four years.
Why?
Our friends at Wikipedia say that a Leap Day is added every four years “to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year” – an explanation that no doubt makes sense to Professor Farnsworth on Futurama, if not to the rest of us.
Unfortunately, the following memes don’t quite explain the phenomenon, either – but they have an amusing time trying.
