Back in the ’90s, the Denver area experienced what was known as the “Summer of Violence.” Today, we seem to be in the midst of an especially murderous spring. This afternoon, a man was shot and killed in a Dollar Value Plus store at 5765 E. 63rd Place, in the shopping center captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”). While Commerce City police haven’t officials identified the victim as of this writing, media reports are naming him as Dung Viet Le, the store’s owner. More information as it becomes available.
