As we enter day three of the U.S. government’s partial shutdown, ripple effects are being felt far and wide — and while Washington, D.C. has the country’s most federal workers, it may not be the hardest-hit city. The Washington Post has assembled a list of the ten cities with the most federal jobs by percentage, and Colorado Springs is well above D.C. Count down the photo-illustrated top ten below. Number 10: Charleston, South Carolina 24,000 workers, 7.6% of the workforce Number 9: San Antonio, Texas 72,000 workers, 7.8% of the workforce Number 8: Augusta, Georgia-South Carolina 20,000 workers, 9.1% of the workforce Number 7: San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, California 151,000 workers, 10.9% of the workforce Continue to keep counting down the list of the ten cities hit hardest by the federal shutdown — and to see where Colorado Springs falls.
