Steve Horner has left Colorado — for now. My first clue was the sudden silence: no voice-mail messages left for Westword writers, linking their stories on the plight of the homeless or the educationally challenged to the very existence of ladies’ nights. My second clue: a sudden influx of messages from reporters in another state, who’d been getting their own voice-mail rants from Horner, had googled his name and had found my stories about the anti-ladies’ night crusader.

Horner’s gone — for now — but he left behind a slew of still-unresolved legal challenges. And every time I type a listing for a ladies-only wine-tasting or a men-only scotch-tasting, I take a look at my phone and wonder when it will ring.
