Philosophy Club and Open Mic at Mercury Cafe (Wednesday, free)
Will Descartes be at philosophy club? I think not. If you didn’t get that little joke, maybe you should come to the Mercury for a refresher course while members of the club philosophize and rant. This open mic night isn’t all about philosophy, though: You’ll also hear singer-songwriters, poets and comedians.
Summer Games at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (Thursday, free)
Street ping-pong, yoga and trivia are taking over Civic Plaza in Boulder tonight in conjunction with BMoCA’s current exhibition, Game Changer. The games are free, but you’ll want to bring an old T-shirt in order to to take part in the free screen-printing classes.
PechaKucha at OhHeckYeah at Denver Theatre District (Thursday, free)
OhHeckYeah has been a cool addition to Denver this summer: fun, interactive and, best of all, free. But this weekend will be game over for the street arcade. Tonight will be a closing ceremonies of sorts with special activities and speeches from the creators. Since this could be crowded, RSVP in advance.
